Western Region leadership changes hands

CARSON, Calif., Aug. 30, 2017 - Defense Contract Management Agency Director Navy Vice Adm. David Lewis held a change of leadership ceremony at Western Region Command headquarters here Aug. 28 where David Devlin relieved Air Force Col. Alice Trevino as the Western Region commander.

In response to taking command of the region, Devlin said, "It is with great honor and privilege to assume command. I'm blessed with the best group of commanders, directors and deputies this agency has to offer, and I'm certain that Western Region will continue to lead from the front in this agency."

The time-honored ceremony marked an end of Trevino’s leadership of the command she headed since June 2016. Trevino’s next assignment will be providing acquisition expertise as one the deputy secretary of defense’s military assistants.

Trevino said, "Please know how proud I am of your contributions to operating as one team, one voice and how much I appreciate your commitment to our agency, region and joint warfighters around the globe."

DCMA Western Regional Command provides contract oversight for over 64,000 contracts valued in excess of $532.5 billion spanning more than 4,000 industry counterparts.
