DCMA completes mission supporting AEHF satellite development and deployment
The 45th Space Wing successfully launched the first Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite onboard an Atlas V launch vehicle Aug. 14, 2010 from launch pad 41. The Defense Contract Management Agency’s Lockheed Martin Sunnyvale contract management office marks the completion of more than 20 years supporting the advanced extreme high frequency satellite program. AEHF-6, the final satellite of the AEHF program, will begin its expected 14-year service life this November. DCMA Lockheed Martin Sunnyvale delivers prime contract support to buying commands on 164 contracts awarded to Lockheed Martin Space valued at over $74.4 billion. With 134 Civilian and Military professionals providing contract administration services across three locations including Lockheed Martin Space’s satellite Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations facility in Sunnyvale, California, the office is proud to support eight major DoD Programs & NASA.
