FORT LEE, Va. — A monthly recap of events that occurred throughout the Defense Contract Management Agency.

In this month’s safety gram, Defense Contract Management Agency’s Safety and Occupational Health Division reminds agency team members of the Risk Management Program Rules concerning chemical safety. Chemicals often play an important role at both work and home, but they can be dangerous if proper safety standards are not maintained. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Globally Harmonized System for Hazard Communication, or GHS, was developed by the United Nations “in order to bring about uniform standards in chemical regulations.” (DCMA graphic by Thomas Perry)

Safety: Can a picture save 1,000 burns?

During the last 10 years, chemical-related incidents have caused 60 deaths, 17,000 injuries and more than $2 billion in property damage.

DCMA’s El Paso office moves into the 21st century

DCMA Albuquerque – El Paso employees made a big move recently, from historic horse stables to modern, energy efficient offices.

Dean Cowart is a lead quality assurance representative at Defense Contract Management Agency Atlanta based in Warner Robins, Georgia. He has been a part of the DCMA team 19 years.

DCMA Pittsburgh hosts first defense contractor town hall

A group of employees met earlier this year to brainstorm the idea, develop the format and agenda, and oversee the logistics of hosting such an event.
