Emergency Essential (EE) Public Posting

  • Contract Administrator (Deployable) - GS 1102-09, 11 and 12 positions

About the Position: THESE ARE TIME LIMITED POSITIONS; Current Federal Employee will not lose current status.  Based on the needs of the agency, appointments may be extended for any period up to a total of 48 months without additional competition.
These positions are designated Emergency-Essential (E-E). In event of a crisis situation, incumbent will be subject to deployment on a TDY basis to overseas duty location(s) to perform assigned duties particular to the deployment. Failure to deploy when required may result in separation from Federal Service. Additional information on E-E positions may be found in DoD Directive Number 1404.10, Subject: Emergency-Essential (E-E) DoD U.S. Citizen Civilian Employee (http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/pdf/140410p.pdf ). Selectee for E-E positions are required to be exempt from recall to the military Reserves or recall to active duty for retired military.

Upon deployment, the employee will receive danger pay and foreign post differential as authorized for the overseas location to which deployed. The employee will receive overtime pay or compensatory time off, as ordered and approved by management, subject to the annual maximum earnings limitation on premium pay established in 5 CFR 550.106.

Tentative offer for employment will be rescinded if the selectee does not qualify for a secret clearance. Selectee will be subject to a 10-year reinvestigation.

All applicants will be screened by Subject Matter Experts and selected for interview bases on agency requirements.
Basic eligibility requirements such as time in grade, minimum qualifications and other regulatory requirements must be met.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • An annual medical examination is required.
  • Immunization screening is required.
  • Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
  • If selected, official college or university transcript must be submitted.
  • Position requires employee to wear a uniform and/or protective clothing.
