Operation
Warfighter
Operation Warfighter is a program sponsored by the DoD Severely Injured Center in which service members who are undergoing treatment take on a temporary/volunteer work assignment during their ongoing treatment. It is designed to provide service members with meaningful activity outside the hospital environment and offers them a formal means of transition back into the workforce.
Operation Warfighter allows injured service members to volunteer with DCMA several hours a week with their doctor's permission. Hours vary from 15-30 per week depending on the candidate, and you should be able to volunteer with us for a minimum of 3 - 4 months.
Examples of some positions that volunteer warfighters are already
working in at DCMA include:
Public Affairs
Information Technology Specialist
Security
Contingency Operations
Industrial Specialist
