My DCMA: Courtney Bieberfeld, Quality Assurance Specialist

By Tonya Johnson DCMA Public Affairs

Moorestown, N.J. — My DCMA showcases the Defense Contract Management Agency’s experienced and diverse workforce and highlights what being a part of the national defense team means to them. Today we meet Courtney Bieberfeld.

My name is Courtney Bieberfeld, and this is “My DCMA.”

I am a quality assurance specialist at DCMA Lockheed Martin Moorestown in New Jersey.

My job duties include executing six surveillance plans. Since I am certified in the quality and electronics’ skillsets, I perform risk-based surveillance in accordance with DCMA policies and customers’ directions. I am also a member of our contract management office’s Moral, Wellness, and Outreach committee. In this capacity, I strive to foster a healthy work-life balance. I am the chair of our CMO’s Diversity and Cultural Awareness Council. Diversity and inclusion is imperative for any dynamic team. I am committed to supporting the mission of facilitating the evolution of DCMA’s culture as one that values the uniqueness and contribution of each employee.

I have been a part of the DCMA team for five years. I started my federal career here in the Keystone program. I like working at DCMA because each individual, under the guidance of their first-level supervisor, is responsible for setting their own goals and expectations. I have been able to learn in classrooms with DCMA personnel from CMOs all over the country and to be exposed to countless valuable perspectives of varied experiences. There are opportunities to collaborate with regional and headquarter staff and inform day-to-day operations. With dedication and commitment, I can develop the necessary leadership skills and eventually lead a team. I am responsible for identifying my own aspirations and earning my own achievements. Overall, I like that your DCMA career is what you make of it.

I am the independent eyes and ears for DoD because every person deserves to be safe. I feel immense pride and patriotism for helping to ensure the freedom of all Americans and our allies.

I provide actionable acquisition insight to DoD by influencing supplier performance and providing detailed analyses. DCMA is important to America’s warfighters because by assuring that all products are built to the highest standards of quality, I know we serve to maintain production schedules, maximize cost efficiency and ensure product compliance.
