The USS Tucson, a Los Angeles-class attack submarine, was undergoing an overhaul when a critical need for a first-of-its-kind component arose. The timely intervention of a DCMA Naval Special Emphasis Operations quality assurance specialist ensured that the component was delivered with minimal delays to move the submarine closer to returning to the fleet and resuming its role in deterring aggression and ensuring freedom of the seas.
