NAVSEA Propeller Visual Inspection Course - The objective of this course is to train personnel to perform and document propeller visual preservation and visual technical inspections. Storage, installation, removal, repair, manufacture, shipyard, and diving activities are required to perform visual technical inspections. These inspections are required when preservation damage is found, prior to repair, after repair/manufacture, at each docking, every six months (waterborne), when abnormal noise is noted, after dockside operation, and prior to underwater replacement of propellers. Visual inspection of propellers must be performed by qualified personnel. Qualification is obtained by successfully completing this course.
NAVSEA Propeller Certification Course - The objective of this course is to train personnel to perform and document propeller dimensional inspections required for propeller certification. Repair and manufacture activities are required to certify propellers. Inspection and certification of propellers must be performed by qualified personnel. Qualification is obtained by successfully completing this course. The NAVSEA Propeller Visual Inspection Course is a prerequisite for this course.
NAVSEA Ducted Propulsor Visual Inspection Course - The objective of this course is to train personnel to perform and document ducted propulsor visual preservation and visual technical inspections. Visual inspection of ducted propulsors must be performed by qualified personnel. Qualification is obtained by successfully completing the propeller visual inspection course and this course.
