My DCMA: Jaime Klein, contract administrator

By Tonya Johnson DCMA Public Affairs

My DCMA showcases the Defense Contract Management Agency’s experienced and diverse workforce and highlights what being a part of the national defense team means to them. Today we meet Jaime Klein.

My name is Jaime Klein, and this is “My DCMA.”

I am a contract administrator at DCMA Garden City.

My job duties include providing contract administration on all assigned contracts to include receipt and review, execution of all administrative requirements and contract closeout.

I have been a part of the DCMA team for one year.

I like working at DCMA because over the last 10 years, I have wanted to move into contracting. My previous experience has been in the finance career field with the Air Force. Working in budget offices, I always had a great working relationship with our contracting counterparts and was able to learn a lot from them.

DCMA is important to America’s warfighters because we work with the suppliers and the buying commands to provide warfighters the best quality products when they need them and at the best price.

My hobbies include spending time with my husband and my kids. I really enjoy watching my son’s football games and my daughter’s gymnastics competitions.

My future career goals include learning as much as I can about contract administration. My hope is that this first year was a chance for me to get comfortable with contracts and now I can build on that knowledge with more challenging experiences. There is so much to learn within DCMA and I am excited for the future.

One of the great things about working at DCMA Garden City is the willingness of everyone to provide on-the-spot training. It doesn’t matter what team you are on, everyone here is willing to share their knowledge with anyone who wants to learn.
