FORT LEE, Va. –
The Senate recently confirmed Navy Rear Adm. Stephen Tedford for promotion to Vice Admiral and to assume leadership of the Defense Contract Management Agency.
Tedford currently leads the Program Executive Office, Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons at Naval Air Systems Command. An assumption of leadership ceremony is being planned for early December.
“Rear Adm. Tedford is an exceptionally experienced naval aviator, engineer, commander and program manager,” said Sonya Ebright, DCMA acting director. “I look forward to his leadership and know that DCMA will be in great hands.”
DCMA provides contract administration services for more than 300,000 war contracts and delivers hundreds of millions of items to our fighting forces each year. As a combat support agency, DCMA provides accurate, real-time acquisition insight to inform War Department decisions relative to the defense industrial base, enabling operational planning and execution.
