DCMA LM Marietta celebrates 50-year milestone of C-5

MARIETTA, Ga. — Most people who attended the event did not know that President Johnson visited the facility in 1968 when the first C-5 rolled out of the hangar.

On Oct. 20, a group of Defense Contract Management Agency Lockheed Martin Marietta and Lockheed Martin Marietta employees gathered to retire the Air Force’s 60-ton railroad switch engine 1248. DCMA Lockheed Martin Marietta retires Engine 1248

MARIETTA, Ga. — “This engine, in its way, made a significant contribution to the safety and security of our nation,” said Jim Johnson, DCMA Lockheed Martin Marietta’s Air Mobility Missions chief engineer.

DeVonn Fray has been with Defense Contract Management Agency for three years as an administrative contracting officer and contingency response force representative at DCMA Lockheed Martin Marietta.
