Newest agency directorate strengthens lines of communication

By Elizabeth Szoke DCMA Public Affairs

The Defense Contract Management Agency Technical Directorate recently hosted a critical process review.

Representatives from DCMA offices around the country gathered here to discuss initiatives and other functional topics, to include detection to prevention and business capabilities.

John Ellis, director of TD’s Software Division, said this platform encouraged employees to communicate among each other to help strengthen working relationships, despite physical locations.

“We emphasized the importance of teamwork and the multi-functional, integrated approaches to mission accomplishment,” Ellis said. “We also needed to provide participants from the field updates about our technical community and discuss any questions or concerns they may have had. The goal is to then have those representatives go back to their respective offices and relay the information they gained here.”

The technical directorate hopes to hold more forums like this to continue open communication throughout the hierarchy of the agency in an effort to move forward with mission success.
