BALTIMORE –
Defense Contract Management Agency Baltimore employees celebrated a new satellite location in White Marsh, Maryland, on Feb. 23. Defense Contract Audit Agency personnel also work at the site. Representatives from both agencies attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
DCMA Baltimore and DCAA fostered a partnership of two offices in one location to centralize select agency personnel and mission partners. Ten employees from DCMA Baltimore who previously worked at five duty stations are now located in one location to save the agency money.
“A month after the opening of the White Marsh satellite location, the feedback has been positive,” said Mary Sheridan, DCMA Baltimore’s deputy commander. “The location provides close proximity to contractors for the best support of the agency’s mission as we reduce our footprint in downtown Baltimore.
“The partnership with DCAA not only reduces our reliance on contractors to provide workspace for our employees, but we have already seen the benefits of co-locating with our Department of Defense partners with productivity and work progress.”
Sheridan also said the location provides employees with a variety of amenities.
“The new facility offers amenities like on-site free parking and is within walking distance to restaurants and gyms,” she added. “DCMA Baltimore continues to seek opportunities like this to exercise stewardship in facilities management and to develop partnerships that promote our ability to achieve the agency’s mission.”
