Navy Vice Adm. David Lewis provided opening remarks for Defense Contract Management Agency’s 2019 Aircraft Operations Training Seminar at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia.
As the agency’s director, he provided a leadership perspective on a wide array of topics, including AO’s primary focus: Delivering quality aircraft to the warfighter safely, on time and without incident.
This year’s theme is “Aviation Safety — It’s a Choice, Not Chance.”
The seminar’s goals are to improve organizational safety cultures, ensure policy compliance, provide legal consultation and to strengthen the command’s professional networking.
