FORT LEE, Va. –
The Defense Contract Management Agency today announced the selection of Gabriel Gonzalez for the Senior Executive Service and as executive director of DCMA’s Total Force Directorate, effective June 14.
Gonzalez will lead the agency’s enterprise human capital programs supporting a global workforce of approximately 9,400 civilians and military service members. He will provide strategic leadership for talent management, workforce development, labor and employee relations, civilian personnel policy, and organizational effectiveness initiatives that enable mission success across the agency.
Gonzalez brings more than three decades of federal service and leadership experience spanning the War Department and the National Science Foundation. Retired from the Air Force, he holds a bachelor’s degree in homeland security and a master’s in business administration and has completed executive leadership programs through American University and the Federal Executive Institute.

DCMA provides contract administration services for more than 310,000 war contracts and delivers hundreds of millions of items to our fighting forces each year. As a combat support agency, DCMA provides accurate, real-time acquisition insight to inform War Department decisions relative to the defense industrial base, enabling operational planning and execution.
