WASHINGTON  –   Yesterday President Donald Trump sent a proposed fiscal year 2019 budget request of $716 billion to Congress, which includes $686 billion for the Department of Defense. When combined with the National Defense Strategy and National Security Strategy, the request provides a comprehensive look at the department’s spending and mission priorities.
