DCMA employee completes Boston Marathon shadow run in Afghanistan

More than 350 troops, coalition forces and civilians participated in the event.

Tina Vetreno received the first-place individual award for headquarters and major command level contributions in budget formulation and execution during a ceremony held in Orlando, Florida, June 1. Specifically, she was recognized by undersecretary of defense (comptroller) and chief financial officer for improving operational full-time equivalent execution for Defense Contract Management Agency offices.

Two-week assignment allowed her to learn more about the agency’s mission.

Gina Copello, a quality assurance specialist at the Defense Contract Management Agency Lockheed Martin Moorestown, New Jersey, who works out of an office in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, boxes in her spare time. She used to box competitively and was part of the first group of women to teach martial arts in the Marine Corps. She served 10 years in the military.

Defense Contract Management Agency quality assurance specialists Scott Kirisits, Edward Pawelczyk, Eric Lee, Komlan Koudifo and Jason Drewitz, recently passed the certified quality auditor course, which has enhanced their skills when participating in an audit. All of them are based at DCMA Air Propulsion Operations Rolls Royce in Indianapolis, Indiana.
