DCMA Hotline

The DCMA Hotline provides a confidential, reliable means to report violations of law, rule, or regulation, mismanagement, gross waste of funds, abuse of authority, and classified information leaks involving the Department of Defense, as well as threats to public health and safety.

Submitting a complaint

Anyone may file a complaint with the DCMA Hotline. An investigator will evaluate your complaint and determine if the matter warrants further inquiry. The Hotline Coordinator will send a confirmation letter with the general disposition of the analysis if you provide your name and contact information.

When you call or submit a complaint, be prepared to provide details regarding who did what, to whom, when, where, and in violation of what statute or regulation. Certain matters are better resolved through other channels — see the frequently asked questions for a list of matters not appropriate to report through the DCMA Hotline.

Confidentiality and privacy

Consistent with the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended, it is DCMA policy that DCMA Office of Internal Audit and Inspector General (OIA-IG) personnel not disclose the identity of an individual submitting a complaint unless the individual consents to disclosure, or the DCMA Director determines disclosure is otherwise unavoidable to address time-sensitive issues, such as a specific danger to health, safety, or national security.

You are not required to identify yourself when submitting a DCMA Hotline complaint. In addition to filing anonymously, you may indicate your election of consent or non-consent to disclosure.
