Watch, use and share it — What DCMA Does video

By DCMA Public Affairs

FORT LEE, Va.  — Have you ever had a hard time explaining the role of the Defense Contract Management Agency? If you work in the acquisition community, DCMA is a well-known agency. Outside of acquisition though, it can be harder to explain … until now.

The What DCMA Does video was recently unveiled by DCMA Director Air Force Lt. Gen. Wendy Masiello at the World Wide Training Conference in Alexandria. The video is part of a larger effort to help agency team members tell the DCMA story. Coupled with the recently released INSIGHT magazine, these products work in concert to inform taxpayers, customers, contractors and leadership of the valuable role DCMA plays in the acquisition process.

The director wants these products to be shared. As she said about the magazine, “I want to make sure these get put to good use — they aren’t intended to sit on a coffee table,” and the same is true for the video. Please download a copy to your desktop, share the link with individuals that are connected to what we do and use it to help share the DCMA story.

“I'm excited about both of these,” said Masiello. “You and I know that our work is an essential part of the overall acquisition process, and a key ingredient of combatant commanders' readiness. We can all do a better job articulating this to others outside of the agency.”
