Q&A: Lt. Col. Matthew Olde, F-15 pilot who often performs flyovers

Air Force Lt. Col. Matthew Olde, who is based at DCMA Boeing St. Louis, participated in an F-15 Eagle flyover at the St. Louis Cardinals stadium during Military Appreciation Night July 26. In addition, Navy Lt. Cmdr. Jon Malycke flew the F/A-18 Hornet and Navy Lt. Cmdr. William Vey, who was Malycke’s weapons system officer, also participated from the contract management office.

The contractor ships these cranes to shipyards to greatly enhance the Navy’s capacity to perform full-service maintenance and overhaul work of surface ships and submarines. Each crane is valued at $46 million.

DCMA South was officially activated under DCMA General Order FY24-17. It has two streamlined commands under it — DCMA Red River and DCMA Tennessee River Valley. DCMA South is the third CMO reorganization for the Central Region.

DCMA Ohio River Valley stands up, replaces DCMA Dayton

Air Force Col. Thomas Clohessy, former commander of DCMA Dayton, recently became the new director of DCMA Ohio River Valley. This is the second CMO reorganization for the Central Region. The first CMO reorganization was the establishment of DCMA Land Systems, which replaced DCMA Detroit.
