Army command selection results announced

FORT LEE, Va — The assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology has announced the selection of the following Defense Contract Management Agency members for command.

Bart Stewart is an operations research analyst assigned to the Defense Contract Management Agency Sustainment Group based at Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at the Defense Supply Center Richmond. He has been a part of the DCMA team for three years. (DCMA photo courtesy of Darkeesha Sims)

Manufacturing, production employees slash delinquent contract schedules

DCMA Garden City exceeded the agency’s goal for reducing delinquent contract schedules in 2016.

DCMA has launched the Data Quality Initiative in alignment with DCMA strategic initiative 2.1.4. The Data Quality Initiative will empower the agency’s business community to work hand-in-hand with IT to define and implement standards to eliminate redundant, incomplete and incorrect data—and prevent future anomalies through automation.

FORT LEE, Va. — A monthly recap of events that occurred throughout the Defense Contract Management Agency.

In this month’s safety gram, Defense Contract Management Agency’s Safety and Occupational Health Division reminds agency team members of the Risk Management Program Rules concerning chemical safety. Chemicals often play an important role at both work and home, but they can be dangerous if proper safety standards are not maintained. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Globally Harmonized System for Hazard Communication, or GHS, was developed by the United Nations “in order to bring about uniform standards in chemical regulations.” (DCMA graphic by Thomas Perry)
