FORT LEE, Va. –
The Defense Contract Management Agency Senior Leadership Team held its annual Strategic Offsite at Larkin Conference Center, Fort Lee, Virginia, Dec. 6. The team prioritized and integrated fiscal year 2020 efforts with a focus on distributing limited agency resources among top priorities.
Hoping to field an innovative environment and tap into America’s love of football, the Strategic Planning and Analysis Division designed a mock gridiron to serve as the event's platform. The field served as a horizontal white board while participants discussed background information, relevant data, innovation, key talking points and, ultimately, decision making.
“The goal was to align resources to our priorities to ensure the most important initiatives are accomplished timely and as documented in the Strategic Plan,” said John Lyle, the agency’s deputy director. “The team was able to identify, communicate and prioritize our top initiatives to build the rationale for alignment of funding and resources for execution in FY20.”
The event’s outcomes included the creation of:
— Prioritized list of agency initiatives for FY20;
— DCMA eTool solutions prioritization to support urgent user requirements.
