Contracts group leads effort to reduce overage contracts

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Collaboration between departments was key to turning four contract closeout metrics green.

Sacrifice, service remembered during Veterans Day ceremony

FORT LEE Va. — “Each of us has a story. I imagine you would be hard pressed to find someone in this building who hasn’t been impacted by the service of a veteran,” said James Russell, DCMA deputy director.

According to Raymond Corral, Defense Contract Management Agency’s Safety and Occupational Health Division region manager, incidents of malfunctioning lithium batteries have become more commonplace recently. Most of the incidents have involved fires and occurred while individuals were charging their electronic devices, but some have caught fire when in use. (DCMA graphic by Thomas Perry)

Safety Gram: The Hazards of Lithium Batteries

DCMA’s Safety and Occupational Health Division is warning agency team members that incidents of malfunctioning lithium batteries have increased recently resulting in fires.
